 Â
You have a builder.
You have a vision for the home you want.
Â
What you do not have is someone showing you what to decide in every room, in what order, and how every selection connects to the next. Floor plan to furniture. Allowances to actual cost. Cabinets to tile to wall color to lighting. Each decision affects the next. None of them are reversible once construction starts.
Most homeowners building or renovating make these decisions one room at a time, in the order the contractor asks for them. The result is a house full of selections that were each fine on their own and do not feel right together.
INTRODUCING...
The Organic Modern
Whole Home Guide
The only guide you need to create a beautiful, cohesive home.
The Whole Home Guide walks you through every major room in your home, with the specific decisions to make in each one, in the right order, before construction locks them in.
It is the same framework I use with private design clients, written so you can implement it yourself.
Â
What it is not
This is not a mood board. It is not a Pinterest substitute. It is not a single-room guide.
It is the working reference for every major design decision in your build, written for use, not for browsing.
Color Palette
Color strategy across the entire home. The relationship between paint and every fixed element you have selected. Sheen, color drenching and finish guidance.
Living Room
Furniture logic against floor plan. Lighting layers. All textiles and furniture specifications.Â
Kitchen
Cabinetry selection, layouts, hardware, and finish direction. Counter and stone selection against the cabinetry. Lighting plan.
Bathrooms
Primary bath, 2 secondary baths, and powder room. Cabinetry, stone, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting.Â
Bedrooms
Primary bedroom. 2 Secondary bedrooms. Furniture layouts. Lighting, furniture and all specifications.
Laundry
The room most builders treat as utility. Cabinetry, counter, tile, lighting, storage. How to build the laundry as a finished room, not an afterthought.
Not every budget is the same. Not every room deserves the same investment.
Â
This guide tells you where to spend, where to save, and where the middle ground holds up.
Each section includes a Shopping Showroom — vetted products at the price points that make sense for that decision, with direct links. No searching. No guessing. The work is done.
The guide also includes a Budget Guide by Room so you know what to expect before you commit, and a Project Budget Tracker to map your selections against your actual budget as decisions are made. The tool that keeps a build from running away from you.

About Starla
Â
I am Starla Campbell, an interior designer with a BFA in Interior Design. I have built four homes of my own, remodeled two, and lived in twenty. My home was recognized in Houzz's Top 10 Homes of the Year.
I work with homeowners nationwide, entirely online, on the design decisions that define a build before construction makes them costly to change.
This Guide is the reference I wish my clients had before they hired me. Most of them found me too late, after the floor plan was framed and the cabinet order was placed. The Guide exists so you do not arrive at design help too late.
Â
The $100 Consultation Credit
Â
Every Whole Home Guide includes a $100 credit toward a Pre-Construction Design Consultation, a 60-minute one-on-one session where we review your specific plans, selections, and allowances together. The credit applies automatically and is valid for 30 days from your Guide purchase. The consultation is $200 with the credit, $300 without.
The consultation is not required. Many buyers implement the Guide independently. The credit is there if you decide you want a second set of eyes on your specific situation.
